Education and Experience
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills are required.
- HVAC experience is required; an Air-Conditioning Diploma or relevant Trade Test qualification will be advantageous.
- An electrical background or qualification will be an added advantage.
- Valid refrigerant handling certification/license.
- Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) will be advantageous.
- Chiller experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
- Basic knowledge of the vapour compression cycle and thermodynamics.
- Own basic tools suitable for HVAC work.
- Knowledge and practical experience in:
- Servicing, maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC equipment.
- Fault-finding and troubleshooting.
- Safe handling and use of refrigerants and equipment.
