Qualifications
• B.Eng (Mechanical) or B.Eng (Electrical) — essential
• Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) — Factories — essential
• ECSA registration (Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng) — advantageous
Experience
• Minimum 5 years plant maintenance experience in a heavy / process manufacturing environment
• Minimum 3 years SHERQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Risk & Quality) experience
• Demonstrated management / supervisory experience, including mentoring of junior engineers
• Experience as a GMR 2.1 Appointed Person, or readiness for appointment
• Proficient in 3D CAD software — SolidWorks (mandatory)
• Working knowledge of preventative maintenance management systems (CMMS/EAM)
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO/TS 22163 (IRIS) documentation requirements
• Understanding of OHSAct, Driven Machinery Regulations, and Pressure Vessel Regulations
• Experience with root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., 5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA)
